Synopsis: (Continued from TOS #73)
As Cap races to the nearby NATO base to rally more troops and firepower, Bavarain villagers flee the onslaught of the Sleeper. Ironically, the Sleeper mercilessly kills Agent Von Kimmer, who helped release him from his twenty-year slumber.
As General Logan's NATO forces launch attacks from the air and the ground, the Sleeper defends itself with force rays. Meanwhile, Agent Schlag unleashes the final stage of Der Tag, the third Sleeper, but when the giant emerges from the ground, it kills him in a bristling explosion! The third Sleeper is a giant head shaped like the Red Skull's, and it meets with the other Sleepers and connects to a cradle on the flying beast's back.
Cap runs through all the dire possibilities if the Sleeper goes unchecked and comes up with a plan. He grabs a flame-thrower and drops down on top of the skull, cutting into the fuel lines causing it to explode over the ocean.
