Synopsis: This is a "Remake" of Cap's origin story from Captain America Comics #1.

Steve Rogers is the human subject of Operation Rebirth, a government plan to create an army of super-soldiers that can help turn the tide of war in the favor of the Allies. In a heavily guarded secret lab, led by the scientific genius, Dr. Erskine, Steve is given a powerful serum. The nature and design of the serum is so secret, only Dr. Erskine knows about it, and nothing of it was ever written down, instead leaving the information locked in his head.

Soon after drinking the serum, it is determined to be a success! Steve has transformed from a weakling to a musclebound, athletic specimen!

But a Nazi spy infiltrated the lab and opens fire, hoping to bring a halt to the American plans. A bullet hits Dr. Erskine, killing him, and Steve snaps into action. As the Army commanders watch, Steve adeptly takes out the treacherous spy in a quick, athletic frenzy. They have their super-soldier...but with Erskine's death, he is only one of a kind!

Soon, he is given the red, white and blue garb of Captain America and sent into action against domestic spies, fifth columnists and Nazi saboteurs. While stationed at Camp Lehigh in his secret identity of Steve Rogers, army private, the young camp mascot, Bucky Barnes, accidentally discovers his alter ego. Cap drafts him to be his partner, and after months of training, together they take out a Nazi sub floating off American shores in Bucky's first mission.
