Synopsis: This is a "Remake" of a Cap story from Captain America Comics #1 titled "The Riddle of the Red Skull".

Steve and Bucky chauffeur Major Croy to his home and warn him to be on the lookout for Nazi spies. Croy rebuffs them and sends them on their way, but later, the Red Skull creeps into his library, and gasses him so he can't finish the top secret project he was working on. Cap and Bucky hear about this and leap straight into action, splitting up to cover more ground in their search for Croy's assailant. Bucky spots bank robbers and follows them to their hideout, where the Red Skull presides over their counting of the loot. Cap follows soon after. Cap and Bucky rip through the Skull's terror cell, but the mastermind escapes. Later in the week, General Curtis introduces Mr. Maxon of the Maxon Aircraft Corporation, who is there to watch over the test flight of a new Army plane. But the plane crashes in a terrible fireball, and Steve grows suspicious of Maxon's reaction. Cap and Bucky check up on Gen. Curtis and find him unconscious, with the Red Skull trying to put away his housekeeper. Together, they take down the Skull and rip his mask off, revealing a Maxon impostor, who had been posing as the aircraft chief to better serve as a saboteur. Before they can react, the Skull escapes out the window and speeds away in a waiting car. Cap and his teenage protege determine that the Red Skull is their enemy #1!
