From the Mouths of the Marvels:

"Now, Aggamon! You call yourself all-powerful! But we shall test the truth of that claim!"

This panel shows Ditko's clear debt to the mystery of Will Eisner's Spirit.

Synopsis: After Dr. Strange is studying a strange gem, a couple thieves steal into his home to ransack it of valuables. Dr. Strange notices them and hurries them outside with a spell. They decide to make another go at robbing his house and this time they succeed in grabbing hold of the gem. Instantly, Strange is alerted that something has gone wrong- the thieves have been transported to a different dimension inside the gem! He decides to follow them into the gem to bring them back to Earth's reality, and he goes beyond "the purple veil" into a strange new land where warlords tower over slaves from other dimensions. Dr. Strange meets Aggamon, who tells him that he will trade the freedom of the two thieves for the captivity of the mystic magician; Strange agrees. But once captive, he breaks free and fights Aggamon one on one. Strange's power is enough for the strongman from behind the Purple Veil, and he is defeated. Aggamon agrees to send Dr. Strange back to Earth, where he finds out from a cop that the two thieves have turned their lives around and decided to go straight!
