Synopsis: (continued from ASM #74)

Spider-Man swings his way around in his pursuit of the Connors, and he shakes down some bookies for the location of the Maggia's hideout. Back at the hideout, Man Mountain Marko slowly comes to grips with his boss' youthful appearance, but Caesar Cicero cannot believe what he has seen, especially when it sinks in that with Silvermane's newfound youth, his path to power is now blocked! Cicero convinces the thick-headed Marko that Silvermane is an impostor sent in by the police and the giant enforcer starts to grapple with his boss. Silvermane beats back Marko, convincing him that he's the legendary crime boss everyone remembers from his youth and demands Marko's obedience. While he speaks, even the dull-witted Marko notices that Silvermane appears to be getting younger before his very eyes.

Spider-Man has finally located the hideout and crashes onto the scene. He beats on Marko and is astonished by Silvermane's continuing descent into youth. Silvermane is more emboldened than ever.

Dr. Connors witnesses the fight and escapes, but on his way out he changes into the Lizard. Spider-Man figures out that Silvermane is getting dangerously young, beginning to resemble a teenager, but he is flushed out of the room by a hail of bullets from Cicero's men. Cicero approaches Silvermane but flips out when he sees that he has turned into a boy! While Spider-Man is beating on Cicero's thugs, the boy comes running out into the hallway. Spidey follows and finds Silvermane's clothes piled into a heap - he has completely disappeared into nothing. He gathers up Martha and Billy Connors and leads them away.

Meanwhile, the Lizard is struggling to hold onto his consciousness as Dr. Connors, but eventually, "only the beast remains...."
