Synopsis: Thor attends a museum exhibit featuring sculptures of the Marvel Age of Heroes, complimenting the artist who crafted the awesome figures. In the ocean overlooking New York City, Magneto- the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants- pilots his submersible. He has detected the X-Men within a 50 mile radius, and sends his brotherhood out to track them down. The Toad, Mastermind, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver all climb into a sub craft and head into New York to scour the city for them. Meanwhile, Magneto stays behind to practice his powers of magnetism.

While in his office, Dr. Don Blake sees all his metal instruments begin floating through the air. Outside, havoc is in the streets as everything that is metal floats up in the sky, then settles back down to normal, with everyone involved thinking it was some kind of mass hallucination. Unfortunately for Blake, he must break a date with Jane Foster and go check it out, and as Thor his investigation takes him to a peace of driftwood floating in the harbor. He inspects in and finds it to be fixed to a submarine below. He climbs inside and meets Magneto for the first time!

Thor fights back against Magneto's defense, but quickly, Magneto realizes that Thor must be a super-powered mutant and offers him membership in the Brotherhood. Thor refuses and the fight is on! Magneto wraps Thor up inside a blanket of steel, but Thor's immense power busts him free. He tosses his hammer at Magneto, but the mutant is able to suspend it in mid-air. Thor tries to punch Magneto out, but he is repelled back behind a steel wall, which Magneto tries to crush him behind.

Sealed off behind the wall, separated from Magneto and his hammer, he turns into Don Blake. Wondering what the heck a wooden cane is doing in his submarine, Magneto turns his attention to Thor sealed behind the steel wall, pushing metal rivets out at him with lethal force. Don Blake ducks the rivets and races through a crack in the wall to escape. Magneto mans a control panel that allows him to track Thor's presence in the sub and antagonizes him with his powers.

But on a prompter screen, he gets word from his Brotherhood that they are under assault by the X-Men. Magneto gets their location and tells them he will be there to aid them, but in the meantime, Blake has managed to get his cane back and turn to Thor. The Thunder God bashes at Magneto, who is surrounded by his force field, and keeps him off balance. Magneto is on the run, and decides to set off a proton bomb to destroy Thor. But the X-Men have arrived, and Magneto realizes he must escape. Iceman uses his powers to defuse the bomb, and when Magneto flees in a mini-sub, the X-Men chase after him in a sub of their own.

Thor has missed all the action, and barely knows what has happened to him this day. He destroys the empty submarine and returns back to his normal life as Don Blake. He heads back to Jane's apartment and finds her a very willing romantic partner for the night!
