Synopsis: While Moon Boy tries to reunite with his Small Folk kin, he and Devil are being watched by a sinister figure, who spots the cave boy and his dinosaur wandering through the valley and targets Devil as a coveted prize. Moon Boy eventually finds his kin, hiding in a cave in fear of the "strange spirits who look like Killer-Folk", but ride on the backs of dinosaurs! Moon Boy promises them that Devil will protect them, but suddenly, they hear a roar from outside: Devil is being attacked by dozens of Dino-Riders, fierce warriors who have turned dinosaurs into their mounts!
The assailants try to trap Devil with ropes and mud that they daub across his eyes to blind him. Led by Gray-Tooth, on the back of a triceratops, they finally take Devil hostage and lead him to his new role as a mount for the Dino-Riders.
Moon Boy escapes the carnage and rallies the Small Folk to help him free Devil. As the Dino-Riders carry Devil to captivity, the dinosaur courageously resists. Meanwhile, Moon Boy leads the Small Folk to attack. The Dino-Riders chase away the Small Folk, but the little cavemen are good at retaliating, as they manage to disorient and debilitate the pursuing Dino-Riders in many ways thanks to their great knowledge of the valley.
This leaves Devil and Moon Boy alone to face down Gray-Tooth and his Thunder Horn, but Devil's rage is too great, and they overcome the vicious warlord.
